Heat Blow Eat

Tanja Saeter has the most impressive party trick. A glass artist by profession, and an obsessive foodie by nature, she has found a way to combine her two passions in a rather spectacular fashion. Called Heat Blow Eat, her performance event and mobile concept restaurant sees Saeter prepare and cook fresh seafood for a hungry live audience on red-hot, freshly blown glass...with Heat Blow Eat, Saeter isn't just making the meal, but the dishes too. 'First, a glass bowl or plate is hand-blown into the necessary shape, which depends on the kind of food to be cooked', explains the artist. 'Then, the food is placed onto the glass, which is still about 900 c hot, and instantly cooked.'

How amazing is this? Love it. The only way this could be any cooler is if I liked sea food and was able to go over to Europe to see this live. I took glass blowing for a semester in college and I just can't imagine combining all that heat and molten glass with food, but it's a fabulous idea.
