The Archive: Sisters

Here is another gem I found in the bin under my bed and it's just too rockin' not to share. God I love this photo. I'd say it was taken around 1998 or '99 and I believe it came from a group of photos that we were going to use for our family's Christmas card. I don't believe we used this picture though, which is good considering it looks far more like an album cover image than a holiday card.

Can't you just see the cd cover now? Jady and I would have made quite the duo and our band name would have been something like "Family Business" or "Aphrodite's Promise" and the title of this particular release would be "Love's Journey Home". The songs would be about love lost and gained and also how sisters may fight, but we still have each others backs. Foreva. I'd play guitar and sing lead and Jady would sing back up and handle the trifecta of symbols, triangle and tambourine.

This thought is especially funny if you've ever met my sister because I can tell you with the utmost certainty that she would sooner jump off the empire state building than get on a stage and sing a song. There isn't enough alcohol in the world to get her to change her mind.

Jades, maybe you could just handle the harmonica and show some cleve. It's possible we could still make this work. What'ya say?

  1. I say that photo is AWEFUL and you're lucky we're not in the same building right now - although I am comtemplating driving over to your work and headlocking you until you remove it.

And no, I don't do harmonicas either.
