Thoughts on a Friday

• I'm actually looking forward to doing my taxes this weekend. It's pretty straight forward for me and I like it when my CPA calls and tells me how much I'm getting back. Cash monies!!!

• This morning I was getting really mad at a truck who was driving way too slow when I was trying to make a left hand turn, but then when he finally passed I realized he was carrying "Highly Flammable" cargo so I thought I guess it's good he was going the speed limit.

• I was also thinking this morning about my drive routes to all my past jobs. I spent so much time in the car driving certain routes to different jobs over the years and I often think about the old jobs, but never about the route in which I got there. So I tried to think of as many as I could all the way through, which was kind of hard when they were college ones.

• I've had a lot of jobs.

• I only wear my glasses to work on days that I'm so tired that I need them to cover the circles under my eyes. I really should have worn my glasses to work today.

• I'm excited to see Louis this weekend. If I don't get to see him during the week I get sad and I have to see him at the weekend. I love him.

• Sometimes I wonder how long it'll be before Louis can say my name, but then I think that I shouldn't wish him older. He's fine where he is. Maybe when he can say my name he won't have wrist chub anymore, so it'll be a trade off.

• The Catcher in the Rye was so hyped up to me when I was fifteen that I expected it to literally blow my mind. I thought it was just regular good. It's real meaning didn't hit me until years later. I should try reading it again. A lot of things are like that with me.

• RIP JD Salinger.

• Tomorrow morning King has to go to the vet for two shots. He's going to try and crawl off the table into my arms. When he does that I'm going to remember this morning when I wrapped my arms around him and pulled him under the covers with me, he only laid there for a couple minutes before he wiggled away. I'll think, Oh, now you need me.

• I'm going to listen to some Bob Dylan this morning.

• I need more coffee.
