Winter... and more winter

I love the snow during the holiday season and in the first couple months of winter it creates a beautiful little womb of quiet and comfort. But then we hit February and it all goes out the window. It's still cold and snowy and you simply can't see the light at the end of the dark, freezing rain, crappy driving, snow filled tunnel. You can't see the light because it's over two months away.

So I'm in the thick of my winter madness where I feel a little bit like I'm completely loosing my mind. But this morning King and I tromped around in the freshly fallen snow and it was warm outside (relatively) and beautiful and yesterday I saw a robin.

You gotta appreciate the small things.

I'm going to spend some time getting my sanity back this weekend. I hope you all are able to do the same. And if you're someplace warm and dry... pray for us.

  1. Today, I'd give anything (even snow) rather than have these allergies that are making it hard to breath here in the desert. Wanna swamp lives this weekend - I've got a cute baby you can play with!

  2. I'd love to Jules. You can come here and tromp through snow with King and I'll go there and take little Lucy girl up squaw peak... and then out to get some quality mexican food. :)
