Fathers

I took the below video early this spring on one of the fabulous, rare days in April when it was warm enough to sit outside. I wanted to capture Louis in his new "close your eyes, open your eyes" phase meaning he tells us to "close your eyes" and then he'll either do something or show something and follow with "open your eyes!". It cracks me up.

Anyway, what I thought was going to be a cute video of Lou blowing bubbles turned into the perfect video for father's day post because I just can't get enough of when he turns and yells "It's my dad!".

Because that's it really, that's the feeling, if your dad has done it right you think that in your head (or yell it if you're two years old) when you see him. And thankfully both Louis and I are that lucky.

I would guess Jason felt pretty good in that moment too, coming home from work with some beer on a warm spring day to his family blowing bubbles in the front yard and a son who greets him so warmly. And I bet my dad was happy to watch the next generation as well.

So blessed are we.

Happy Father's day Dad and Jason! We're so happy to have you.
