Last weekend was the first of the fall weekend's where my fibromyalgia started to rear it's ugly head. Not uncommon for certain periods of time in the spring and the fall when the weather is fluctuating. Because of this I spent a good deal of time eating right, getting a ton of sleep (Saturday night I was asleep by 9:30) and laying low. By Sunday afternoon I was feeling tops. I took advantage of my energy and the warm weather and went for a run with the dog.
I realized as I was running that it was so beautiful I wished I was taking pictures, so when I got home I grabbed the camera and King and went out and walked the whole distance again and tried to capture some of it's beauty.
For as wonderful and the bright colors are at certain times of autumn, I find that I'm often very drawn to the later fall colors, when all the leaves have fallen and everything has a little bit more of an earthy, muted feeling. So lovely.
Due to the lack of rain around here, the creek bed is almost completely dry, so King and I were happy to explore and walk where normally we could only take a raft. It was a really good day.
